Bio Statement
Ilina Chervonnaya is an artist graduated from the Critique and Curatorial Studies at the Unique Institute (2014), and the New Art Strategies at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow (2016). Participated in the Exchange Program for artists at Goldsmiths University of London. Co-founder of Triangle Curatorial Studio in Moscow. Participated in a workshop called ‘Topophilia: Ecology, Art and the Cypriot Landscape’ by writer and curator Vanessa Oberin (2018). Works with installations, sculpture, video, sound, performance, tour, photo, etc.
The subject of her interest is the phenomenon of tourism as a self-perpetuating value of modernity, and its associated syndromes and effects.
Winner of the 3rd residency program of Gogova Foundation in Special Astrophysical Observatory. Participated with a personal show in the 3rd installation festival EFE in Larnaca (2018).

The subject of current interest is the phenomenon of tourism as a self-perpetuating value of modernity and its associated effects and syndromes, constructed apoliticality, distortion and reinterpretation of perception, reproduction of memories, reconstruction of secondary reality.
